A smart new passenger shelter has recently been installed on Kents Bank railway station.
The work was completed on time as part of an upgrade to bring passenger facilities up to modern standards.
Furthermore, the Furness Line Community Rail Partnership managed the project.
Additionally, funding has come from South Lakeland District Council.
The official opening of the new shelter took place on July 3rd 2015.
In addition, the next phase of the project is the installation of electronic display boards.
