Windermere’s oldest working ‘steamer’ is out of the water for its winter maintenance.

The MV Tern, built in 1891, has operated on the lake for more than 120 years.

Furthermore, it is included on the National Historic Ships Register.

This stunning vessel carried the Olympic Torch in 2012.

The MV Tern is the Lake District’s best known passenger cruiser.
