It is one of the country’s leading arts centres.
Established in 1972, this popular venue presents a year-round programme of exciting, diverse, top quality events and performances.
The Brewery Arts Centre has been part of Kendal’s fabric of life for 50 years following the conversion of the former Vaux brewery.
From film to art exhibitions to restaurants and bars the Brewery has something for everyone.
Recently, the centre has undergone an extensive revamp costing £850,000. The upgrade has come about due to grant funding.
The funding has come from organisations such as Cumbria County Council and Arts Council England.
Moreover, the refurbished and reconfigured cinema is spacious and air-conditioned and shows the latest films on a big screen.
Furthermore, the main cinema now has a viewing screen that is 50 per cent bigger than before.
If you are out for the evening, the recently redecorated bar and restaurant is a must for great food and drink.
Last but not least, the Brewery opens from 11am daily.
From May 17th 2021, the Brewery Arts reopens after being fully refurbished.
In particular, with upgraded state of the art facilities, the beautiful building is a contemporary hub for cultural, creative, social and business events.
