Accommodation for Manjushri KMC
Reading Time: < 1 minute
We are able to accommodate visitors to the festivals and summer retreat at the Manjushri KMC, Conishead Priory in Ulverston.
There has been a priory on this site since the 12th-century founded by the Augustinian order.
Following the reformation, it ended up in the hands of a local squire.
Subsequently, it was owned by the Braddyll family, who did much reconstruction work, before going bankrupt!
Today, it is a religious house, used for the followers of Buddha.
It is easy to get to Conishead Priory by train from Kents Bank to Ulverston.
A regular train service runs along the Furness line.
