The Rheged Centre is a great Lake District attraction especially on a wet day.
Located at the Penrith/Gateway to the Lakes – Redhills site just off the M6 near Penrith (J40).
It is sited in a disused limestone quary and billed as Europe’s largets earth-covered building.
It has been designed to blend in with the surrounding fells.
Cumbria’s largest visitor complex hosts a giant 3D cinema, art gallery, shops, cafes, conferences and regular family activities and special events throughout the year.
All of the above can be found under Rheged’s unique glass roof.
There is also free parking.
