National Go Canoeing Week:
If you like water sports, the National “Go Canoeing” week runs over the coming week.
Events have been arranged at Fell Foot Park near Newby Bridge.
There is Kayak hire and guided tours on Windermere.
Fell Foot is home to a new cafe, an adventure centre (with underfloor heating, changing rooms, and showers) a park with a beach, making it an ideal place to try canoeing.
The water is shallow which again is ideal for newbies, especially for paddle boarding or wild swimming.
