My girlfriend and I stayed here last weekend and from the first enquiry David was very friendly and great to deal with. He met us at the train station and took us to his beautiful place even after a misunderstanding had him arrive an hour early we still found him there on arrival which was so nice of him. The house is high up a hill with a gorgeous view of Morecambe bay from the front room and a private garden that's lovely to relax in. The views from there are really spectacular and lothorien is a great place to enjoy your stay, Its really like a home from home and has everything you could need to cook a meal or chill out. The town is absolutely gorgeous and the ornamental garden is especially recommended. If you want an unforgettable experience then book in with "the predator experience" in ayside, cartmel. You can walk wolves through the field, go in a fox enclosure, fly hawks, if you're nature people it's an amazing date. David and his property get 11 out of 10 stars and we will definitely be returning sooner rather than later. Ps thank you for saving us with towels when we forgot to bring ours

Excellent 3 nights. Duddon Valley and Wrynose then Coniston – Brill!!! 2nd day walked down to Kents Bank station and along the path to Grange. The Pheasant inn is a “top hostelry. Still things to do and see in South and West Lakes. Definitely coming back! Really good accommodation and very comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Situated on the outskirts of Grange over Sands, Lothlorian provides everything you need for a relaxing break in a quiet location. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. An ideal base to explore The Lake District and the area around Morecambe Bay. We had a lovely break and was able to take our dog with us. Definately will return. Lots to do.

The best equipped and most comfortable holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. The beds were lovely, the kitchen and bathroom were a delight. Fabulous views over the bay and a great garden for our dogs. The owners were extremely welcoming and gave us lots of useful information. We definitely hope to come back in the near future. This is a great area for exploring The South Lakes.

The location was fabulous, right on the doorstep is the southern part of the lakes, lots of interesting places to visit, Lothlorien was a lovely bungalow, very nice and comfortable, lots of space and lovely gardens, we took 2 small dogs with us and they enjoyed the holiday as much as we did. Lots of nice walks for them. I would recommend this accomodation to anyone looking for a nice peaceful break in a lovely part of the lakes.

David is a particularly nice and generous host. He always answered very quickly and helped us with everything even when our stay was over he did us a big favour and drove to Manchester airport with no hesitation to bring us our passports which we forgot at Lothlorien. Lothlorien is such a beautiful place! It is spacious, has everything you might need and is very lovely decorated. Also, the location is perfect as there are a bus and a train station in 5 minutes walking distance and a free parking lot in front of the house. Furthermore the house has a very big and lovely garden - it really is a little paradise. I'd recommend everyone to stay there!

Had a fantastic stay - thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a lovely meal at the Pheasant Inn. Even though it rained a couple of days it didn’t deter us one bit. We are going to book again as soon as possible.
