The weather has been fabulous whilst there have been floods everywhere else. Brunch in the sun overlooking the beautiful garden. Stalls all along the prom on the first Sunday of the month. Enjoyed Cartmel races and our trips up the stunning Lakes area. Also walking up Hampsfell and seeing the fells beyond.

Easy to book, David very friendly and the cottage is delightful and delightfully situated. Clean, warm and the garden is rather special, an extra plus was that Monty dog was so welcome... we hope to visit again. Xx

My girlfriend and I stayed here last weekend and from the first enquiry David was very friendly and great to deal with. He met us at the train station and took us to his beautiful place even after a misunderstanding had him arrive an hour early we still found him there on arrival which was so nice of him. The house is high up a hill with a gorgeous view of Morecambe bay from the front room and a private garden that's lovely to relax in. The views from there are really spectacular and lothorien is a great place to enjoy your stay, Its really like a home from home and has everything you could need to cook a meal or chill out. The town is absolutely gorgeous and the ornamental garden is especially recommended. If you want an unforgettable experience then book in with "the predator experience" in ayside, cartmel. You can walk wolves through the field, go in a fox enclosure, fly hawks, if you're nature people it's an amazing date. David and his property get 11 out of 10 stars and we will definitely be returning sooner rather than later. Ps thank you for saving us with towels when we forgot to bring ours

Had a fantastic stay - thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a lovely meal at the Pheasant Inn. Even though it rained a couple of days it didn’t deter us one bit. We are going to book again as soon as possible.
