The location was fabulous, right on the doorstep is the southern part of the lakes, lots of interesting places to visit, Lothlorien was a lovely bungalow, very nice and comfortable, lots of space and lovely gardens, we took 2 small dogs with us and they enjoyed the holiday as much as we did. Lots of nice walks for them. I would recommend this accomodation to anyone looking for a nice peaceful break in a lovely part of the lakes.

David is a particularly nice and generous host. He always answered very quickly and helped us with everything even when our stay was over he did us a big favour and drove to Manchester airport with no hesitation to bring us our passports which we forgot at Lothlorien. Lothlorien is such a beautiful place! It is spacious, has everything you might need and is very lovely decorated. Also, the location is perfect as there are a bus and a train station in 5 minutes walking distance and a free parking lot in front of the house. Furthermore the house has a very big and lovely garden - it really is a little paradise. I'd recommend everyone to stay there!

Thank you Pam and David for advertising "Lothlorien" in the Dalesman, as otherwise we would have missed a real treat!   We have been coming to the Lake District for years; at last, we have discovered a real "gem" of a bungalow for our break in this beautiful area.   The accommodation, the home comforts, the views, the peaceful setting, your garden, and the summerhouse have been a "tonic" for us to savour.    We shall certainly  return for a longer stay.  Thank you for accommodating us at such short notice, we shall book our stay earlier next time

By far, one of the best cottages we have stayed. Really enjoyed the house, the beautiful garden and walking to Hampsfell Hospice which was a nice surprise. A great stay and hope to be back.

Very much enjoyed our long weekend at Lothlorien. Walked to Grange along the prom past the railway. Visited Cartmel and Ulverston – Laurel & Hardy Museum and steam boat from Haverthwaite to Bowness. Weather perfect for site seeing. Great to return to such a comfortable house each evening.

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. We did all the usual things; Holker Hall was good day out. Did lots of walking and had a pleasant time. We got to sit in the garden. Would recommend.

What a great stay we had! The children enjoyed the toys and the tractor. We had some great days out at Wray Castle on Windermere, which is a must for children – fun boat ride to get there. Also Peter Rabbit museum was fun

This is the best holiday rental that we've ever stayed in. Comfortable, clean and very well supplied with crockery etc. and a beautiful garden. Nice modern kitchen and bathroom and comfortable beds. The owner and his family are very nice and welcoming. Good location with lovely views across the bay. We were only there for 3 nights, would have loved to stay longer, and hope to go again in the future.

Long stay away from our static caravan. David and Pam are very nice and kind people, nothing too much trouble, ask and it is there. Pleasant home and will recommend to anyone. Thanks for everything.

Lovely bungalow, comfy and clean with great garden. Had a wonderful time, plenty of walks, super views and good meals at the Pheasant. Thanks for letting us stay.

Had a fantastic stay - thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a lovely meal at the Pheasant Inn. Even though it rained a couple of days it didn’t deter us one bit. We are going to book again as soon as possible.
